Connect. Empower. Transform.
Through our commitment to fostering personal connections and sustained and targeted investment in diverse legal talent, we strive to empower our Alumni and Fellows with the goal of cultivating leaders, transforming career trajectories, and advancing diversity in the legal profession.
Launched by the 2011 Class of LCLD Fellows at the end of their fellowship year, and extended to include Pathfinder Alumni in 2019, the LCLD Alumni network has grown into a vibrant and active program.
Besides mentoring new Fellows and Pathfinders, the Alumni undertake regional community service projects and participate in LCLD diversity outreach efforts to universities and law schools. Alumni participate in a monthly conference call to discuss upcoming events, leadership opportunities, and to keep in touch. They also assemble in person once a year for an LCLD Alumni Leadership Symposium (formerly known as the LCLD Fellows Alumni Conference) to network, hear from distinguished speakers on current legal issues, and continue their professional development.
Administered by an elected Executive Council and assisted by LCLD staff, the LCLD Alumni Program is an added benefit of Membership, and a great way for graduates of the Fellows and Pathfinder programs to continue their involvement with LCLD throughout their careers, building on the relationships and leadership skills they acquired during their initial Fellow and/or Pathfinder year.
