Michelle Earley is a Partner with Locke Lord LLP. She handles a wide range of corporate and securities work for public and private companies. Michelle has extensive experience in merger, acquisition, and disposition transactions, securities regulation matters and securities offerings, including representing purchasers and sellers of publicly-traded and privately-held companies, representing issuers and selling shareholders in connection with the public offering and private placement of debt and equity securities, tender offers, exchange offers and advising management and boards of directors on general corporate governance matters. Michelle is also on the Board of Directors of Adams Resource & Energy, Inc. (NYSE MKT). Michelle graduated from Yale Law School in 1997 and received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, in Political Science from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas. Before working at Locke Lord, Michelle served as a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas M. Reavley of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Michelle has been honored by Texas SuperLawyers as a Rising Star.
Michelle serves as the Hiring Partner of the Austin office and is a member of the Firm's Practice Development Committee, Lateral Hire Committee, Women's Initiative Committee and Diversity Committee. Michelle is also very involved in community and legal efforts in the Austin area. She served on the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, and is a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Austin and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Michelle also serves as sergeant-at-arms for Jack and Jill of America, Inc. - Austin chapter and serves on the Diversity Task Force at Trinity Episcopal School of Austin. She is a Leadership Austin Alumni (Class of 2011) and a 2016 Frank McBee Fellow with the Austin Area Research Organization. Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, Bill, and their three children, Addison, Campbell and Beckett at all of their various activities.
