Crystal Williams is the Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Eli Lilly & Company. In this role, she acts as secretary to three of the six committees of the Lilly Board of Directors, and counsel the business and other support functions on materiality and disclosure requirements pursuant to the U.S. Securities Exchange Commission. Prior to joining the Corporate Secretary Legal Team, Ms. Williams was a Global Brand Counsel in Lilly’s Bio-Medicines Business Unit and counseled the company's U.S. Medical Affairs organization. Prior to joining Lilly, Ms. Williams was a commercial litigation attorney in the Indianapolis office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP. At Barnes, Ms. Williams was a member of the firm’s Litigation Department and focused her practice on food, drug and device products liability litigation. Ms. Williams was nominated by Barnes to participate in the LCLD Fellows class of 2013. Prior to joining Barnes, Ms. Williams practiced litigation and labor and employment law with Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP (now Locke Lord LLP) in Chicago.

Ms. Williams received her B.A. in Psychology from Indiana University–Bloomington and received her J.D. from Duke University School of Law. She is admitted to practice in the States of Indiana and Illinois and before the U.S. District Courts of the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana as well as the Northern District of Illinois.

Ms. Williams is actively involved in a number of civic and professional organizations. She sits on the Board of Directors for Indiana Fair Chance as well as Fit University, Inc. Ms. Williams is a member of the Duke University Alumni Association and a lifetime member of the Indiana University Alumni Association. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
