I am a biotech patent attorney and partner with Kilpatrick Townsend with over 30 years experience. My role is to help companies, universities and governments obtain, investigate, acquire, license, sell, defend against and enforce patents in the life sciences and chemistry technologies in the US and coordinate with foreign counsel abroad. I obtained an undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from Wellesley College, an advanced degree in Immunology from Emory University, have acted as in-house counsel and have been an expert witness in patent disputes. I spent my early childhood just north of Pittsburgh, moved to New York for junior and senior high, was a high school exchange student to Italy, went off to Boston for college, spent my junior year abroad in England, and have lived in Atlanta since 1984. Yes, I like to travel. My hobbies include music (listening, playing, writing), sailboat racing, skiing, scuba diving, and renovating old houses.
