Kelly M. Morrison is a partner at Jenner & BLock LLP, where she concentrates on complex civil litigation, arbitration and appellate matters, with a focus on class action defense and trade secret litigation.
Kelly has been a key member of the defense team for dozens of consumer class action lawsuits in California, Florida, New York and elsewhere, achieving dismissals at the pleading stage and denials of class certification. In addition to her deep experience disposing of cases in early proceedings, Kelly has trial and arbitration hearing experience. Most recently, she was a member of a trial team that secured what is believed to be the largest verdict ($940 million) of any kind in Wisconsin, and is also one of the largest trade secret verdicts in U.S. history. Kelly has also handled a number of appellate matters in both state and federal courts, and has argued in the U.S. Court of Appeals.
Ms. Morrison has worked on a variety of pro bono matters, including as a member of teams that successfully secured political asylum, convinced the State of Georgia to voluntarily dismiss its case against a man who had been on death row for 28 years, and asserting an ongoing challenge to California’s lethal injection protocol. She has been named a "Rising Star" by Southern California Super Laywers (2014-2016) and Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers (2016).
