Edward “Eddie” Chyun advises and represents employers in various aspects of employment and labor law, including discrimination, wrongful terminations, non-compete agreements, wage and hour matters, labor relations, labor arbitrations, unfair labor practices, Fair Labor Standards Act claims, and National Labor Relations Act claims. He has extensive experience handling and resolving a broad range of issues in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as in arbitrations. Additionally, Eddie regularly appears before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board. He also advises and counsels employers with day-to-day employment and labor relations concerns, and provides training on various employment and labor issues.
Further, Eddie is committed to ensuring equal access and advancement opportunities in the legal industry, as well as ensuring access to justice for all. His commitment is demonstrated by his various leadership roles and activities. Eddie is a founding member and treasurer for the Asian American Bar Association of Ohio. He also serves as the Co-Chair of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA)’s Labor & Employment Committee. In 2015, he was appointed to serve on the Ohio Supreme Court’s Language Services Committee, which aims to improve access to the courtroom for non-English speakers and the hearing impaired.
Eddie earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, and his B.A. from the University of Southern California. For seven straight years, from 2009-2016, Eddie has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine.
