Fellows Events and Opportunities

All Members of the LCLD community are invited to participate in a conversation with Microsoft’s Carolyn Frantz on Thursday, January 11, at 9 a.m. PST. Ms. Frantz, who serves as Corporate Secretary, Vice President, and Deputy General Counsel at Microsoft, will discuss strategies and characteristics necessary for successful organizational leadership and strong decision making. Our conversation will cover the importance of authenticity, emotional intelligence, and finding your inner motivation. This event is brought to you by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s Fellows Alumni, Microsoft, K&L Gates LLP, and Dentons US LLP. The event will be moderated by Jessica Tsao, a 2016 LCLD Pathfinder.

You may attend in-person at K&L Gates’ Seattle office, online, or at a viewing party in one of the following cities: Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., New York, or Chicago. Click here to RSVP before January 8, and please indicate where you will be attending.

Did you value what you learned and the connections you made during your LCLD Fellows year? Has being a member of the Fellows Alumni community helped enrich your career? Are there others in your organization who you think would benefit form the LCLD Fellows Program?

If you answered, "Yes!" to any of these questions, be sure to share your story and ensure that your organization participates in the 2018 Fellows Program. Please reach out to the LCLD Member General Counsel or Managing Partner and diversity contacts at your organization to start the conversation. Feel free to also review and share the LCLD Fellows Program Prospectus and Member Tool Kit, which are important resources for the program.

LCLD is accepting 2018 Fellow nominations now through Thursday, January 11, 2018. However, please start those conversations now so LCLD Members have time to make informed nominations.

Additionally, if you know of any early-career attorneys at your organization that would benefit from participating in the Pathfinder Program, we encourage you to pass their names along for consideration in the 2018 Pathfinder Program, accepting selections now through Thursday, January 18, 2018.

We hope that you will pay your Fellows experience forward by encouraging LCLD Members to continue to provide this leadership and relationship-building opportunity to other talented attorneys at your organization.
