Organizational Commitments

At TD, we strongly believe that to successfully serve our customers, we need to reflect the diversity of our communities and foster an inclusive corporate culture. Diversity and inclusion have been a strategic priority for TD for over a decade. Our goal for inclusion is to create a sense of community at TD by encouraging active engagement of people with different backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives so that we all experience openness, welcome diversity, and promote fairness.

  • We commit to prioritizing and promoting inclusion to unlock the full potential of each employee to be the better Bank for our customers, communities, and colleagues.
  • We commit to hiring and retaining diverse talent through strategic recruitment, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • We commit to building an executive team and Board of Directors that champion our shared commitment to diversity and inclusion at the highest levels within the Bank.
  • We commit to continued efforts to work with Mansfield Rule certified law firms when possible and will encourage external counsel to affirmatively consider at least 30 percent women, racial and ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and senior lateral positions.
  • We commit to provide pro bono legal services to underserved populations.
  • We commit to using our Corporate Citizenship philanthropic resources to diversify our portfolio of partners and to support nonprofit organizations led by racial and ethnic minorities and other disadvantaged groups in furtherance of programs which help people to feel more secure about their futures.
