I, Edward Gates, personally commit to the following:
- Implement our firm’s D, E, & I strategic aims set forth in our 2021 strategic plan, including diversifying firm leadership and making efforts to promote and retain diverse talent.
- Be a constant voice at our firm to promote D, E & I education and efforts.
- Lead by example in connection with D, E & I efforts at our firm by promoting and participating in training, recruiting, cultural and other firm-sponsored events.
- Commit resources necessary to achieve our firm’s D, E, & I strategic aims set forth in our 2021 strategic plan.
- Expand recruitment efforts to help achieve D, E & I goals of increased women and underrepresented minority Associates and lateral hires.
- Expand training and education employee offerings to support D, E, & I goals of minimizing bias in work allocation, professional development and promotion opportunities.
- Implement the Midsize Mansfield Rule achieving at least a 30% diverse attorney and leadership population by 2023.
- Require Practice Group and Individual annual performance plans to include measurable D, E & I goals.
