Sahang-Hee Hahn is an Assistant Vice President and Counsel at MassMutual Financial Group. Sahang-Hee provides tax legal support to the Corporate Tax Department and the Law Department, focusing on tax controversy, planning, and policy-related matters. Her professional experience includes representing clients in state and local tax controversies; advising on tax issues arising during mergers, acquisitions, and internal restructurings; and advising on state tax policy issues.
Sahang-Hee is the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the Tax Committee of the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY). Sahang-Hee is also an active participant in several trade organizations, including the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA), Associated Industries of Massachusetts (AIM), and the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI). She is also actively involved in the non-profit sector and currently serves as the Vice President of Finance & Investments for the Don H. Liu Scholars Program.
Prior to joining MassMutual, Sahang-Hee practiced tax law at a large law firm in New York, where she focused on state and local tax issues. Sahang-Hee earned her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, in English from the University of Pennsylvania School of Arts & Sciences.
