Crystal Jezierski is a partner in the Compliance & Investigations practice group at Baker & McKenzie. Located in Washington, D.C., Crystal has 20 years of experience working in U.S. federal law enforcement and setting of U.S. federal legal policy. Prior to joining Baker & McKenzie, her experience included having served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General for Legislative Affairs at the U.S. Department of Justice and as Chief Counsel for Oversight and Investigations for the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee. In these roles she provided strategic advice to top Justice Department officials and leading US Congress members on federal law enforcement priorities, congressional oversight of the Justice Department and other federal law enforcement agencies, and congressional investigations.
At Baker & McKenzie, Crystal focuses on corporate compliance and investigations. She works with legal departments and compliance officers to advise them on compliance trends and government expectations, the design and implementation of global compliance programs, compliance program remediation in the course of government enforcement actions, global compliance risk assessments, compliance training, and conducting internal investigations. A particular focus of her work involves advising companies on key challenges they face in designing their compliance program around their unique compliance risk profile and implementing their program within the framework of this unique compliance risk profile.
Outside of the practice of law, Crystal enjoys volunteering in the Washington, D.C., community as a member of the Junior League of Washington, D.C., where her service includes having served four terms on its board of directors.
