Courtney Reid is Assistant Vice President and Counsel at MassMutual Financial Group, a Fortune 100 financial services company that is based in Springfield, MA. In her role, Courtney supports MassMutual's broker-dealer subsidiaries with distribution and regulatory issues.
Prior to joining MassMutual, Courtney spent most of her career as a litigator both in-house at a large New York-based financial services company, as well as in private practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She previously taught Feminist Jurisprudence as an Adjunct Professor at William Mitchell College of Law, and served in leadership positions within the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers and Minnesota Black Women Lawyers Network.
She graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law, cum laude, in 2002 where she served as Editor-In-Chief of the NCCU Law Journal. She received her undergraduate degree in Journalism and Political Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
