Susan Spaeth was elected Managing Partner in 2013; before the firms’ merger, she was Managing Partner of Townsend and Townsend and Crew. She has been recognized as one of the most influential women in business by the San Francisco Business Journal, and as a leading patent and intellectual property lawyer. Susan also serves on the College of Arts and Sciences National Council for Valparaiso University.

Kilpatrick Townsend was the first AmLaw 100 firm in the South to have a female co-managing partner and led major regional law firms in recruiting and hiring African-American attorneys. The firm’s KT Proud affinity group provides support and awareness for LGBT attorneys, and Heritage Month helps educate employees about the importance of diversity.
