Michael Hammer spent 30 years at Dickinson Wright before becoming CEO in 2019. He also spent 10 years as Deputy CEO, and under his guidance, the firm hired hundreds of lateral partners and opened 14 offices, making Dickinson Wright one of the fastest-growing AmLaw 200 firms of the past five years. 

Diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts at Dickinson Wright include affinity groups, diverse recruiting, and partnerships with diversity organizations. In 2021, the firm's summer associate class was 67% women, 28% people of color, and 6% LGBTQ. Additionally, more than half of thefull-time, non-partner attorneys hired in 2021 were women and 16% were people of color.
