Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Eli Lilly and Company

Mike Harrington has served Eli Lilly and Company in various capacities since 1991 and became General Counsel in 2013. He also serves as Board Chair for the Indiana Repertory Theatre and Co-Chair of the Civil Justice Reform Group. An active mentor and member of LCLD’s Board of Directors, Mike is a leader in diversity at Eli Lilly and across the legal profession. 

“Once people are in the profession, there is an obligation on those of us who hire lawyers to ensure we are demanding diverse teams of the best professionals,” Mike said in an interview with The Indiana Lawyer

Under Mike’s leadership, Eli Lilly has been rated a top company for LGBT employees, Latinos, and women and was rated one of the top 10 companies for LGBT employees by DiversityInc magazine. Eli Lilly's other diversity activities include a partnership with The Center for Drug Development and Clinical Trials at Roswell Park to create training programs for minority physicians

Eli Lilly was an LCLD Most Active Member Corporation in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.
