Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Interim General Counsel, Freddie Mac

Jerry Weiss became Chief Administrative Officer of Freddie Mac in 2010 and Interim General Counsel in 2021. Before joining Freddie Mac, he was Global Head of Compliance at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, and also spent time at a Washington, D.C. law firm focusing on securities regulation, investment management, and corporate finance matters. 

Diversity efforts within Freddie Mac's legal team include a database of diverse outside counsel, partnership with the National Association of Minority- and Women-Owned Law Firms, and summer internships for law students. Companywide, Freddie Mac recently received awards for its Autism Internship Program and its LGBT & Housing Insights report. Freddie Mac also participated in the 2018 Diversity Best Practices Inclusion Index, providing data on its D&I practices, organizational culture, and demographic transparency.
