LCLD "Success In Law School" Project
One-On-One Mentoring Program
The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) is excited to offer a unique professional development opportunity to diverse 1L law students. LCLD is an organization of corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners, formed in 2009 to make concrete, measurable advances in the diversity of the legal profession – now! To read more about LCLD, please click on any of the tabs at the top of this registration page.
Success in law school is the first step toward the legal career to which you aspire. To support your success, LCLD has recruited lawyers from its Member organizations to provide one-on-one mentoring to you. These volunteer Mentors are successes in the legal profession and they can significantly advance your efforts to achieve the professional goals that you have set and will set for yourself. Our Mentors not only have their experience in law school to share, but perhaps more importantly, they have their professional experience including networking, practice area choice, and perhaps even inside scoop on the local job market.
To register for this program, please complete the form below. While we have enlisted a substantial number of volunteer Mentors, this is a "first come, first serve" opportunity, so please act quickly. We will be in touch 1-2 weeks after registration completion with information about your Mentor. If we are unable to pair you with an individual mentor because of high enrollment in the program, we are working to create group mentoring opportunities at your law school, led by LCLD Mentors. These events will be posted on the LCLD website here as they are scheduled..
