LCLD "Success In Law School" Project
One-On-One Mentoring Program
The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) is excited to offer a unique professional development opportunity to diverse 1L law students. The LCLD is an organization of corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners, formed in 2009 to make concrete, measurable advances in the diversity of the legal profession – now! To read more about LCLD, please click on any of the tabs at the top of this registration page.
Success in law school is the first step toward the legal career to which you aspire. To support your success, LCLD has recruited lawyers from its member organizations to provide one-on-one mentoring to you. These volunteer mentors are successes in the legal profession and they can significantly advance your efforts to achieve the professional goals that you have set and will set for yourself. Our mentors have materials and information to help you tackle studying in law school, taking exams, achieving the best grades possible, deciding on extracurricular activities, understanding the job market in your city, and more.
To register for this program, please complete the form below. While we have enlisted a substantial number of volunteer mentors, this is a "first come, first serve" opportunity, so please act quickly. We will be in touch within a week of completing this registration with information about your mentor. If we are unable to pair you with an individual mentor because of high enrollment in the program, we are working to create group mentoring opportunities at your law school, led by LCLD mentors. We will inform you of these as they are scheduled.
