LCLD Fellows

Inaugurated in 2011, the LCLD's Fellows program is an ambitious, highly structured mentoring program established by our Talent Development committee, led by Greg Jordan (Chair) and Geoff Kelly (Vice Chair). Like all our initiatives, the Fellows program is designed to increase diversity at the leadership levels of the nation's law firms and corporate legal departments.

It works by identifying high-potential attorneys from diverse backgrounds and placing them in the path of those who can teach them to lead their organizations.

Numbering more than a hundred, the 2011 Fellows were selected by their general counsels or managing partners, all of whom are LCLD Members. Over the course of the year-long Fellowship, each honoree will embark on a learning program that includes in-person conferences, virtual training on the fine points of legal practice, peer-group projects to foster collaboration and build relationships, and extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership along with managing partners and general counsel who volunteer to discuss professional experiences and setbacks.

Our goal is to produce a diverse generation of up-and-coming attorneys with strong leadership and relationship skills who are committed to fostering diversity within their individual institutions, and the profession at large. Each group of Fellows will also serve as mentors to those who follow.

We're currently recruiting our 2012 class of LCLD Fellows.  The deadline for selecting a Fellow is February 10, 2012.   Click here to select your Fellow.
