I am associate in Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s Indianapolis office and a member of the firm’s Finance, Insolvency and Restructuring Department and Corporate Department. My practice focuses on issue related to bankruptcy and loan workouts of CMBS loans. In addition, my practice includes drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and assisting with M&A transactions.
I served as a summer associate at Barnes & Thornburg prior to joining the firm full-time in 2012. I also served as a summer associate at Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP; a federal judicial intern for the Hon. Avern Cohn, US District Court, Eastern District of Michigan; and an intern for the Chatham County Juvenile Courts.
I currently serve on the Indianapolis Charter School Board and as a board member of the Catch the Stars Foundation. In 2014, I was one of 15 attorneys to receive The Indiana Lawyer “Up and Coming” award for his legal achievements, and professional and community involvement.
I earned my J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2012, an M.S. in Education with a concentration in Higher Education Student Affairs from Indiana University – Bloomington in 2009, and a B.S. in Marketing from Albany State University in 2007.
I was born and raised in Savannah, GA and my family is Gullah. My hobbies include cooking, attending sporting events, cycling, traveling, fishing and watching movies.
My goals include making capital partner, opening a bar with a dog park, and attending a UNC - Duke game at the Dean Dome.
My heroes are my Rubin Pusha, Jr., and Belvord V. Lawson.
