Carlos Rodriguez was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He received a degree in Business Administration from Florida International University. He then attended the FIU College of Law. While in law school, Rodriguez was awarded a dean’s list commendation every semester and earned “highest grade” awards for Criminal Procedure, Professional Responsibility, Business Organizations, Wills and Trusts, Scientific and Forensic Evidence, Admiralty Law, and First Amendment. Rodriguez graduated fourth in his class in 2011, earning the magna cum laude distinction. Throughout his time in law school, he was a research assistant for Professor Thomas E. Baker. He also served as vice-president of the mock trial team, and was a Certified Legal Intern at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. Rodriguez is fluent in Spanish.
