Veena Viswanatha is an associate at BuckleySandler LLP. Ms. Viswanatha represents corporate and individual clients in a variety of litigation and enforcement matters. Right now, she is part of the team representing Universal Entertainment Corp., a large Japanese gaming manufacturer, and its subsidiary, Aruze USA, Inc., in FCPA-related litigation brought by Wynn Resorts Ltd. She was also part of the team that represented the Navajo Nation in a landmark lawsuit against the U.S. government for breach of its historical fiduciary obligations to the tribe, a lawsuit that resulted in a historic $554 million settlement -- the largest settlement obtained by any single tribe against the U.S government. Ms. Viswanatha was named to the Lawyers of Color Hot List in 2014.
Before joining BuckleySandler, Ms. Viswanatha was a litigation associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where her practice focused on securities and antitrust matters. Ms. Viswanatha received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2009 (cum laude). During law school, she interned for the Honorable Jerome Simandle in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. She also served as an Articles Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and an Arthur Littleton and H. Clayton Louderback Legal Writing Instructor.
