Sarah Moffett is a shareholder at the national law firm of LeClairRyan on its Labor and Employment team. She serves as outside general counsel to corporations and provides litigation defense in employment and business matters in local, state, and federal proceedings across the country. Currently, she manages a team of attorneys handling all single plaintiff,
employment cases in 18 states for a Fortune 500 company. She is also a co-chair of the firm's Diversity Inclusion and Community Impact Action Council. Sarah is a member of the Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. bars. Law & Politics magazine recognized her as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for Employment Litigation: Defense in Virginia in 2012 – 2016 and in Washington, D.C., in 2013 – 2016.
Prior to joining LeClairRyan, Sarah served as a law clerk for three years to the Secretary of the Air Force General Counsel for Contractor Responsibility in Arlington, Virginia.
When not practicing law, Sarah can usually be found with her nose in a book, burning something in the kitchen, or running local trails. Every year, Sarah resets with a long distance trek, including the Camino de Santiago in France and Spain (2011), the Coast to Coast across England (2012), the Tahoe Rim Trail circuit (2013), the Tour du Mont Blanc circuit (2014), the John Muir Way across Scotland (2015), and the Snowman Trek in Bhutan (2016).
