Sandy Bequette is Vice President – Senior Managing Counsel, leading Mastercard’s Global Payment Transaction Services division. This division provides outsourcing solutions related to financial transaction processing. Sandy graduated, with honors, from St. Louis University School of Law, received her bachelor of science degree, cum laude, in Computer Science (along with a minor in Mathematics) and is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois.
Before joining MasterCard in June of 2007, Sandy was Manager - Senior Technology Attorney for the financial services division of Accenture, a leading global professional services company. Prior to Sandy’s role with Accenture, she worked as the only in house counsel for NaviSys, a technology spin off from MetLife, and as an Assistant Attorney General for the state of Missouri. In a former life, while attending law school in the evening, Sandy worked for the Boeing Corporation, as a Software Engineer on the Tomahawk Cruise Missile Mission Planning software system.
Sandy currently serves on the Advisory Council for the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms, is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, and has recently joined the Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater St. Louis.
Sandy resides in St. Louis, Missouri, but spends a vast amount of time traveling internationally to spend time with her team members and internal clients in India, Dubai, Poland, and Turkey. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family (with "one of the favorites" being her grandson), boating, skiing, coaching/watching her sons' soccer teams, taking long walks, and of course catching up on those work emails.
