Raina Mehta is Senior Counsel at PNC Bank supporting the Real Estate Banking and Tax Credit Capital lines of business of the Bank. Raina graduated from Temple University, Beasley School of Law in 2003 and received her undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania, Annenberg School for Communication in 1998. Prior to joining PNC in 2012, Raina was a senior associate at White and Williams, a large law firm based in Philadelphia, for over 9 years, handling a wide range of financing transactions, both as counsel to lenders and to borrowers.
Raina has been an active and dedicated member of PNC Bank’s Office of the General Counsel’s Diversity and Inclusion Council since its inception. She helped draft the Council’s mission statement and goals; organized and led seminars for the Council; and helped draft the Council’s strategic plan for recruiting diverse talent.
Raina currently serves on the board of directors of The Clay Studio, a non-profit whose diverse and inclusive programs are geared toward promoting access to the ceramic arts, at all levels of interest and proficiency, from practicing professionals to disenfranchised children of the inner city to art enthusiasts, students and collectors. Additionally, over the past 3 years, Raina has provided pro bono legal advice and mentorship to real estate developers in the Philadelphia region focused on investing in and redeveloping real estate in target areas that will create socio-economic impact and encourage holistic community revitalization of entire neighborhoods.
Most recently, Raina has been organizing and leading a diversity and inclusion advisory panel which will guide and support her school district's superintendent and school board on diversity and inclusion programs, policies and inititatives. Her goal is to improve the culture of her community by exposing students to diversity and engraining the value of inclusion into the school system by the time her oldest of three children, currently in first grade, reaches middle school.
