I am a double graduate of Ohio State (undergrad and law school -- Go Bucks!). After I spent a year in Utah clerking for a judge, I moved to DC and started practicing at Covington & Burling. I planned on being in private practice for only a couple of years and then go save the world. Life happened and I wound up staying in private practice (and liking it). My tours at Covington and a smaller firm led me to Seyfarth Shaw, where I've been a partner in the Litigation Department for nine years. I am a native of New York and come from a long line of New Yorkers, but I lived in the Midwest from middle school through law school -- which means I have a taste for genuine NY pizza, real bagels, fresh air, and wide open skies. I recently moved to Atlanta with my wife of 16 years our 9-year old son Ben, three Portuguese Water Dogs, and rescue cat. We moved so that I could take on more leadership roles within the firm, although the fact that we have family in Atlanta helped with the decision to leave DC. I am a wine enthusiast and an avid runner and cycler.
