I am a corporate transactional attorney. I focus my practice on project, municipal and corporate finance, with an emphasis on renewable energy, infrastructure and development projects in the U.S., the Caribbean and Latin America. I represent corporations, municipalities, utilities and private and sovereign investor and sponsor clients in the drafting and negotiation of power purchase agreements for wind, solar and bio-gas renewable energy projects. I also represent major New York banks as underwriter’s counsel, in the financing of infrastructure projects.
My practice continues to evolve and become specialized in that I look for projects in the renewable energy and infrastructure space in a small region where there may not be a steady pipeline of deals and where there may be financing and credit issues. Additionally, there are market concerns as well almost continuous changes to the technology and, to some extent, the law.
I recently led a team of Duane Morris attorneys providing federal energy regulatory advice and state specific project finance, corporate and real estate advice with respect to a $1.3 billion equity funding for a natural gas liquefaction and LNG loading facility on Quintana Island near Freeport, Texas. The transaction was named co-winner of the Global Finance Deal of the Year (Project Finance) for 2015 by The American Lawyer. I am a member of the American Bar Association and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. I am a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center and a graduate of Georgetown University.
