Professionally, I represent registered investment companies, independent board members and registered investment advisers on a range of regulatory and compliance matters that arise under U.S. federal securities laws, particularly the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933, the Commodity Exchange Act, and related rules and regulations. My specific focus areas include: investment management, derivatives & commodities, exchange-traded funds, independent board member counsel, investment advisers, money market funds and registered investment companies.
I am a graduate of Northwestern University and Northwestern University School of Law.
Personally, I am an avid sports fan and like to run, ski and watch all kinds of sports, especially football and baseball. I live next to Wrigley Field and am a big Cubs fan; the past year has been like living a dream. I also am a amateur photographer, and like to go on photo workshops around the country to photograph landscapes.
