Karen Polyakov is an Assistant General Counsel for The Home Depot. She manages wide range of commercial disputes and litigation involving the company, both nationally and within Home Depot’s Western Division. Karen’s practice focuses on claims and litigation involving contracts, real estate, consumer protection, patent, copyright, trade secrets, construction, ADA, unfair business and regulatory practices, class actions, enforcement actions, investigations, and other regulatory and compliance efforts, including extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution.
In her position, Karen actively supports The Home Depot Legal Department’s initiative to advance the development of women and minority owned law firms and also leads the pro bono initiative for the Western Division office of The Home Depot’s Legal Department. Karen is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, where she is an ACC conference panel speaker, the California and Orange County Women Lawyers Associations, and the Orange County Bar Association. She was honored as the Orange County Women Lawyers Association 2015 Attorney of the Year.
Karen received her Bachelor of Science from the University of California at Berkeley, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California, where she served as Moot Court Editor.
Outside of work, Karen is an avid sports fan and enjoys participating in a variety of sporting activities.
