Gail Bent is a Senior Attorney in the Investments and Business Transactions Group of Allstate Insurance Company's Law Department. In this role she supports Allstate's private investment activites, representing Allstate Insurance Company and other affiliates in investments in private equity funds, real estate funds, infrastructure funds, joint ventures and other private corporate transactions. Gail graduated from the University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, and earned her B.A. in History from Yale College.
Prior to joining Allstate, Gail was a Partner in the Corporate and Securities Practice at Mayer Brown and Greenberg Traurig where she focused on mergers and acquisitions and private investment funds. At Mayer Brown she was a member of the firm's Pro Bono Committee and Recruiting Committee and a founding member of the Committee on Diversity and Inclusion. Gail has been listed as an Illinois Super Lawyer in 2006, 2008 and 2009 and in the Leading Lawyers Network in 2013.
Gail currently serves as the Community Service Chair for the Board of Directors of the Yale Club of Chicago and is an active member of the Jack and Jill of America Inc. Western Cook County Chapter where she has served on the Executive Committee.
Gail lives in River Forest, which is a suburb of Chicago, with her two teenage daughters and enjoys working out and travelling.
