I am a shareholder in the Houston office of Baker Donelson and am member of the Product Liability/Mass Tort and Transportation practice groups. I practice a wide variety of litigation, including toxic tort, product liability, commercial litigation, construction law, personal injury, real estate, commercial collections, transportation, and general business law. My experience includes litigation in both federal and state courts, representing a variety of business interests.
With regard to my non-profit/community involvement work, I am a court appointed advocate and board member for Child Advocates, Inc., (CAI). CAI is Houston's chapter of Court Appointed Special Advocates. This is an organization to which I am extremely dedicated. CAI uses court-appointed volunteers to act as the voice for abused and neglected children. I have been working with this organization for over fifteen years and handled six court cases, all resulting in family reunification, and served twenty-one children. I am currently serving my eighth year on CAI's board of directors and am active in committee work. I am currently the chair elect for the Board. I also recently served as general counsel for CAI for four years, allowing me to provide guidance on issues including litigation, employment, contracts, etc. Since 2001, I have devoted over 1500 hours to this organization.
