Currently, Strothers serves Microsoft Corporation’s Corporate, External and Legal Affairs (CELA) Commercial Services team, empowering Enterprise Services (Azure Cloud) matters, with a programmatic focus on public sector sales and compliance.
From 2013-16, Strothers counseled executives at Coca-Cola’s Minute Maid Business Unit, the world's largest juice company, on all transactional, litigation and governmental matters involving the Minute Maid®, Odwalla®, Simply Beverages® (Simply Orange® etc.), Hi-C®, Suja® and fairlife® milk products in all markets. From 2012-13, as Coca-Cola Corporate Ethics & Compliance Counsel, Strothers had global responsibilities, including expert speaking at the United Nations in Vienna, but had primary responsibility for supporting compliance programs in Central, East, West and South Africa, a complex region with 40 countries and 46 bottling partners. From 2007-11, as Coca-Cola Global and Strategic Marketing Counsel, Strothers’ responsibilities included all marketing, advertising and promotional matters for the most recognized beverages in the world, including Fanta® and Sprite®. Additionally, Strothers was primary legal counsel to various Business Insights, College and Professional Sports, Entertainment and Multicultural Teams in 207 countries.
Previously, Strothers was an associate at the Morris, Manning & Martin corporate law firm in Atlanta, where he counseled entrepreneurs, emerging companies and global corporations. Prior to Atlanta, Strothers provided corporate legal services to other preeminent companies. As an attorney in the Procurement Group of AT&T Inc. in Northern California, Strothers’ responsibilities included all corporate-wide pager and mobile phone master agreements. Strothers also served as legal counsel for Personify, Inc., a customer intelligence software firm in San Francisco, and as a consultant attorney in the Technology and Supplier Contracts Group of JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York City.
Strothers self-funded his education and earned his B.A. as a double major in Economics and Organizational Behavior & Management from Brown University, where he was a three year football letterman starting cornerback and was elected Senior Class Vice President; his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law where he was Order of the Coif, BLSA President, and a judicial Extern for Gerry Alexander, Chief Justice of the Washington State Supreme Court; and his LL.M. with an Intellectual Property concentration from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar graduating with a 3.67 cumulative GPA and elected graduation speaker. Strothers has active law licenses in Washington State, California, Georgia and Texas.
