Experienced attorney with a demonstrated history of success in complex commercial litigation. Skilled in a variety of business litigation, including antitrust, constitutional law, banking and finance, securities law, and trial practice.
Alanna has taken a leading role in several successful litigations arising from the financial crisis of 2008 and developed particular expertise in litigation involving derivatives contracts.
She has also played lead roles in work for several of the firm's major clients, including American Express, Barclays Capital, E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co., Goldman Sachs, and the New York Jets.
Alanna has significant and successful trial experience in a wide variety of matters. She played a key role in the constitutional takings case against the United States brought by AIG shareholders against the United States Government and the Federal Reserve. She was also “second seat” to firm Chairman David Boies at the trial of Starr International Co. against a $20 billion claim brought by insurer AIG, in which the firm’s team obtained a jury verdict in favor of Maurice “Hank” Greenberg’s charitable organization. Recently, she has represented Beats Electronics in a securities and contract fraud suit against Monster LLC; Oracle in its jury trial against Google for patent and copyright infringement; and DuPont in various contract and environmental law claims against Monsanto.
Alanna serves on the boards of two non-profits: Avenues for Justice, an alternative to juvenile detention for youth in New York and New York Live Arts, where she also serves on the audit committee. She has taught classes on internet law and civil procedure.
