Adriana Maestas is a senior associate in the capital markets group of Linklaters LLP in New York. Ms. Maestas has significant experience representing issuers and financial institutions in a variety of exempt and registered cross-border and domestic corporate finance and lending transactions. During her more than ten-year legal career, Ms. Maestas has been based in London, Hong Kong, the Hague and New York. Ms. Maestas speaks Spanish with native fluency, and Italian and French, which assist with her ongoing representation of Latin American, French, Italian and UK-based clients. Ms. Maestas graduated from Stanford Law School is 2005 and received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University in English and Spanish Literature. Ms. Maestas is part of the leadership of Linklaters’ Latin American practice group and has significantly contributed to the development and implementation of Linklaters’ strategy for Latin America. Ms. Maestas is co-head of the firm’s Mexico Desk, regularly traveling to Mexico to meet with current and prospective clients and spearheading many in-country initiatives. She is also a mentor to three attorneys through Linklaters’ women’s mentorship program. Ms. Maestas actively participates in two committees of the American Bar Association. Ms. Maestas has previously served as a World Affairs Council Fellow, Rotary International Scholar and Stanford HAAS Center for Public Service Fellow. Prior to private practice, Ms. Maestas was a legal clerk to Judge Weinberg de Roca at the Appellate Chamber of the United Nations’ International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
