Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Names Lori L. Lorenzo Deputy Director
WASHINGTON, D.C., Sept. 13, 2012—The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) has named Lori L. Lorenzo, to the newly created position of Deputy Director.
Most recently, Ms. Lorenzo served as Director, Diversity and Inclusion and JD Advisor, at the University of Miami School of Law in Miami, Florida. Earlier, she practiced at the law firms of Dewey & Leboeuf and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. She holds a JD from Duke University and a BA with honors from University of Florida. She is a member of the North Carolina State Bar.
"We are delighted to have Lori join us,” said LCLD Executive Director Robert J. Grey, Jr. “We have grown rapidly in our first three years, and we need someone with Lori’s experience so that our strategic initiatives reach their full potential."
Responsibilities of the Deputy Director include supporting LCLD's efforts to promote diversity and inclusion among member organizations, managing LCLD’s strategic programs, and promoting understanding of legal diversity issues generally.
Created in 2009, the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) is made up of more than 200 General Counsel and Managing Partners of the nation’s leading corporations and law firms. It has created programs to develop diverse legal talent, strengthen the legal pipeline, and establish partnerships between firms and clients to broaden the diversity of leadership in the legal profession.
