In 2010 the LCLD launched four strategic initiatives designed to make the legal profession more diverse and inclusive — and formed a quartet of committees to bring them to fruition. All LCLD Members serve on one or more of these strategic committees, which are are described below. To sign up, Members should go here.

pipeline committee

This committee works to build a talent pipeline that is as strong and diverse as the country itself — by empowering high-potential students at the university and law school levels, and equipping them for a leadership career in the law. More.

talent development committee

This committee finds, nurtures, and inspires the most talented young lawyers in our LCLD Member organizations, setting a diverse team of Fellows on a fast track to leadership. More.

partnerships & teams committee

This committee fosters collaborative bonds: by building teams with diverse talent at corporate legal departments and law firms — and by facilitating partnerships between law firms and their clients that advance talent from diverse backgrounds. More.

benchmark committee

This committee surveys the legal profession, identifies what works, and measures the attributes of law firms and corporate legal departments that are most effective in promoting diversity and inclusion. More.
