Teri P. McClure

Senior Vice President of General Counsel and Corporate Secretary UPS

As Senior Vice President of General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Teri Plummer McClure is responsible for all legal, compliance and public affairs activities worldwide for UPS. She also advises and supports the Board of Directors on a broad range of legal and governance matters.

McClure is a member of the UPS Management Committee, the 12-person group of senior executives responsible for the business strategy, profit and operating plans of the company.

Prior to her current role, McClure served as Vice President of the Corporate Legal Department. She started her UPS career in that department in 1995 as Employment Counsel. In 1998, she was promoted to Coordinator of the Labor and Employment Practice Group, and assumed responsibility for office management and technology administration. In an effort to meet and exceed corporate goals and challenges, she helped streamline the company's relationships with its core counsel network of outside attorneys.

In 2004, McClure became Vice President and Chief Operating officer of UPS’s Central Florida District, where she was responsible for all aspects of package pick-up and delivery operations, managing more than 4,000 employees. She later became Vice President of Corporate Compliance, and then assumed the roles of General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in 2006.

Prior to joining UPS, McClure practiced labor and employment law in private practice, most recently at Troutman Sanders law firm in Atlanta, Ga.

In addition to her corporate responsibilities, McClure is a member of various bar associations and serves on the boards of The UPS Foundation, The Annie E. Casey Foundation, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. McClure also is active in many church-related, civic and professional organizations.

A native of Kansas City, Kan., McClure received a bachelor's degree in marketing and economics from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., and a juris doctorate degree from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta.
