Chairman, Husch Blackwell LLP

As Chairman, Maurice Watson helps lead Husch Blackwell’s strategic direction, including its diversity efforts. He serves on the firm’s diversity council and was named 2012 Difference Maker of the Year by the Urban League of Greater Kansas City for making the firm more inclusive.

“Setting a high standard of diversity and inclusiveness allows us to identify and maximize each unique individual’s full potential, removing barriers to personal achievement and making us a stronger firm, better able to understand our clients’ needs,” Maurice said.

Husch Blackwell is proud to be the largest firm in the nation with an African-American chairman. The firm promotes diversity by evaluating partners’ participation in diversity efforts, offering minority scholarships, and participating in diversity organizations, including LCLD.
