John Harrity founded Harrity & Harrity in 1999 and became Managing Partner in 2008. He was previously a Primary Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and spent three years as an Electrical Engineer. John is also the firm’s Diversity Partner.

“At Harrity & Harrity, we are committed to the Supersized Rooney Rule,” he said at a 2017 Association of Legal Administrators meeting. “This is a hiring practice that shows our firm’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is something that we take seriously; it’s something we’re very proud of.”

In addition to using the Rooney Rule to increase the diversity of candidate pools, Harrity & Harrity recently launched a 1L Diversity Fellowship and a Diversity Summer Workshop.
