Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, UnitedHealth Group 

Marianne Short has more than 35 years of legal experience. She was the first female managing partner at Dorsey & Whitehead and served for years as a judge in the Minnesota Court of Appeals. In 2013 she made the transition to corporate law and joined UnitedHealth Group. Marianne also volunteers at a legal aid clinic and serves on the board of Boston College, among other community-oriented activities.

UnitedHealth Group has a Diversity and Inclusion Council that directs diversity initiatives for its employers, suppliers, and customers. UnitedHealth has also created many community-based diversity programs, including the Diverse Scholars Initiatives and a Health Equity Services Program. UnitedHealth was named an LCLD Most Active Member Corporation in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
