Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Affairs, The Clorox Company
Laura Stein is General Counsel of Clorox and Chair of LCLD’s Board of Directors. One of the founders of LCLD, Laura has been an energizing force in the growth of the organization, applying her time and talent to a variety of roles. As Vice Chair of the Board’s Pipeline Committee from 2009-2011, Laura oversaw the development of the 1L LCLD Scholars, Mentoring, and College-to-Law-School programs.
Laura speaks six languages and has been a lifelong advocate for diversity and inclusion: “Some of the issues facing women in senior legal positions, as well as other diverse lawyers, are addressing implicit bias and ensuring that people aren’t isolated.”
At Clorox, Laura chaired the Women’s Employee Resource Group and has been named one of the “20 Most Influential General Counsel in America” for her leadership. Her legal department is extremely diverse—women and minorities make up 75 percent of the team—and they are committed to diversity and pro bono work.
Clorox was named an LCLD Most Active Member Corporation in 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017.
