Christa D’Alimonte joined Viacom in 2012 and became General Counsel in 2017. She previously spent 17 years at Shearman & Sterling, where she was Deputy Practice Group Leader of the Firm's Global Mergers & Acquisitions group. Christa was named a “Top Female Dealmaker” by Law360 and was the Editor-in-Chief of the American Criminal Law Review. 

Viacom promotes diversity through programming, employee affinity groups, and its Office of Global Inclusion, which supports a variety of diversity initiatives, like a tax-equalization policy for same-sex couples. Viacom has won awards for diversity from the Empire State Pride Agenda and the NAACP.
